I am currently working as an Database Administrator and planning to switch to cloud engineer role.

Can someone guide how can I switch to this new role and what skills should I acquire.How should I approach companies.
Hi @WindySpec - Even I am on the same journey. So first I completed my GCP Associate cloud Engineer certification. Then learned the basics of Linux, Bash Scripting,Terraform and GitHub. Then I did 2 projects in GCP Free tier Account and later send invites to managers via Iaspire portal to recurite me Internally. My session is yet to begin. In case I get the desired job, will update you. Also, I had spoken to a person who transitioned. She/he was in SAP and is now working as Cloud Data engineer after doing certification and projects. For him/her there was a small interview as well. After which he/she got their first cloud project and successfully switched to desired cloud domain.
