Trending @Accenture; Clarity, transitions, and the rise of informal politics

In large organizations, during role or leadership transitions, why does the lack of structured planning often push individuals into managing informal dynamics and perceptions instead of focusing on delivery?

Ideally, shouldn’t clarity, ownership, and transition planning come from leadership, rather than individuals having to navigate ambiguity on their own?

When this doesn’t happen, it starts to feel less about work and more about politics — which is draining for people who just want to do the right thing the right way.

Curious how others have seen this handled well, and what actually works.
