Trending @Accenture; CAREER Suggestions plz

Basically I've completed 13 months in Accenture. In the project, it's been 12 months. Basically it's a support based project. There are a few things I need suggestions on---

  1. Does it happen with everybody that their managers/TLs aren't concerned about them at all? No call for VB, automatically deducting half of it, you work but TL goes like your work doesn't get noticed and all. In meetings, they specifically mentioned SAs and team leads if they've to say anything never to juniors .
  2. I've attempted techleap and I'm pretty sure that I passed but they've deliberately failed me. I've not received any hikes yet. And I guess they're not even planning to give me one. What should I do? It's a support based project. Also I'm looking for a project change, development one? How do I approach?
  3. I need to change my domain. The domain I want to change is in my primary skills like node.js, react.js (MERN stack). What's the procedure??

Consult with PMO and manager one by one and if they don't give release then talk with hr supervisor. Maybe he will help you in the project change

Sure, thanks for the suggestions. Also one thing - should I ask it after September or what? Like during appraisal cycles or after that

Whether you will talk now or later, whatever appraisal you will get slightly different and one more thing give valid reason for project change without pointing out anyone also talk politely with everyone

Hii, I have been working here for 2.7 years. I am also getting cloud support projects which do not have career growth at all.. Even if I take a shift now I don't know what I am gonna answer if they ask me regarding my work experience. And if you are stuck in a support role like mine, I guess you won't be taken into development projects because I have been asking a lot to change my role to technical role but now they are asking hands on experience on tech roles 🥲🥲

Hi, I'm working here too around 4 yrs from a fresher.

1.Yes mostly everywhere its like this only. In rare case its like leads reach out to you.

2.Some of my friends cleared some 2 years ago but yes now a days its ghosting in the exam too.

3.If you are willing to move to development means need to choose any top skills pega developer, python or something else if yiu are good in that. Else if you wanted to go with functional role means something like erp, cloud something like that related. You would need to search and switch the skill in mycompentancy which is demanded now and get trained. After getting trained you can ask for roll off and search for the relevant projects.

Hi @Humanbeing619 thanks for the response. I'm willing to switch to MERN. I've already attempted mycompetency and got P3 in node & react. I'm good at this, additionally doing some projects by myself for the CV I guess. So if I've some projects, it'd be easy to switch right?

Yes it will be easy. If you are willing to continue a few years in Accenture means you can try to learn and switch here. Find yourself a guide, also you might have heard about iaspire you can choose a mentor in that for guidance. There are a variety of places to learn as well percepcio, pluralsight, my learning etc. After you are good in the tech then ask for a rolloff and go dont go in between (because they might again lock you in a project and cant come out for a year, come out only when u are strong 💪).

Good luck 🤞

I don't know about Mern and I'm not good in full stack or front end. I currently work as an Oracle administration(i know it's an old tech, but there is so much to learn too). I want to keep my career as an architect in the cloud, database and ai. So I want to learn about data like data engineering, data analyst, and cloud data architect something like that, im searching outside as well.
