Trending @Accenture; Career advice for mainframe 7+ yrs exp

I have 7+ years of experience in Mainframe support projects and am currently exploring new opportunities. I asked for a release from my manager but they won't give me, so I want to switch. Has anyone here transitioned from or to Accenture with a similar experience? How smooth is the switch for someone with my background? Going forward, I’m keen to move into development work rather than continuing in support. Since most of my experience has been in support, I’d appreciate any insights, suggestions, or guidance from those who’ve been on a similar path. Thank you in advance for your advice!
