Trending @Accenture; Can anyone give logical and humane answer?
What exactly is point of 2-3 days a week RTO with fuked up traffic, fuked up air quality, fuked up inflation, fuked up infrastructure in almost all tier 1 cities.
I really wanna understand what good reason Mahesh Zurale had to come up with this. Was it a factor of greed? Do leadership get benefit out of it or is it just ego of being able to control helpless people?
Whenever I raise valid points, people would say "well you applied for the job and agreed to work from office whenever company asks you to". MF I APPLIED FOR A JOB NOT KHATRO KE KHILADI COMPETITION.
The latest survey of 2025 says that there's one death every 10 min due to accidents on roads/highways all over India. HOW TF CAN ANYONE IGNORE STATISTICS??? (If you need source, will provide too)
Is your bullshit "collaboration" is more important than employees health, time, money?
My personal condition is, the moment I step into the city my eyes start burning while it doesn't really happen in my town. I have social anxiety where my productivity is down among too many people. I know these are not valid reasons but still it can't be ignored saying "just deal with it".

Mahesh Zurale is no longer with Accenture. Like several other senior leaders, he has moved on from the organization.
Regarding work arrangements, it is worth noting that being in IT offers the flexibility of working from home for a few days—an option that many non-IT roles do not have, as they require daily on-site presence.
I understand the difficulties you mentioned. These challenges are real, and while the solutions may not be simple, they are treatable and manageable with the right support.
For concerns related to road safety or accidents, the appropriate channel is to raise them with the government authorities responsible for infrastructure and transport.
Lastly, instead of directing frustration toward others, it may be more productive to channel that energy into exploring opportunities that better align with your preferences—whether that means applying for roles that offer work-from-home arrangements, switching organizations, or even considering relocation to a place that better fits your expectations.

Spoken like a true delivery lead. But my team works in different parts of India like different base locations. How come so called "collaboration " comes here, if I am to going to office to open teams to connect with other teammates. Make it make sense
Bro i mentioned humane response and you pasted GPT's answer here😭

One of the genuine reason i have come across in leadership calls is state revenue and these companies have some serious pressure from government since they have opened offices in the locations and if they are not utilized and monetized state revenue is affected. P.S. : I am a working mother myself and prefer wfh only.

This is the only correct answer. Sustainability and collaboration ia just nice to hear words

Well real problem is everyone thinks I have delivered , I did my job, but overall product quality has gone down .
Since Fucking Softwares are all about integration , all programs & configurations needs to come together . Efficiency of work is all time low.
There are junior members who don't have clue of what needs to be done & remotely 1 person can max guide 2 folks.
So company now prefers 7 hr of WFO rather than 12 hr of WFH.
If you aint made for it , then switch where they don't , but everyone will come back to 5 days of office in next 2 yr.

Only applicable for India, because people don't prefer to be individual contributor here . What's the point of recruiting an adult person if I have to coach them in front of me rather than over remote work? We have normalized this school culture even the freshers are expecting thia

But real reason is not WFH, but negligible hike and VP for last 3 year. Even I am manager, it's really tough to manage team nowadays. You can't even promise lollypop to your team, how can I ask people to work after office hours, with 0% hike.

Exactly this is the reason. I mean, why does someone have to stay in a city—away from their family—just to go to an office and work from there, only to end up connecting over Teams anyway? How is “in-person collaboration” supposed to happen when all team members are in different cities and still have to connect over Teams?
They don’t think about the expenses an employee has to bear living here, the health issues that come up, the impact on mental health, and the stress of living away from parents when they actually need us. All of this—just to justify the money spent on long-term leased office spaces?
And if these are truly global companies, then why is RTO/WFO enforced so strictly only in India?

Now let me say to all of you that what is the point of writing this big and wasting your time…accenture will change their decision by seeing this?

Collaboration feels like a joke when all the team members work from different locations.

Stalls in the cafeteria are owned by Accenture SM and MDs, they are losing big due to WFH.
My SM was telling one day that, Accenture is not giving a hike, VP and Equity, but the biggest hit is income from the cafeteria is also down.

That's the most absurd thing I have ever heard, no employee can own stall in cafeteria

ask them to arrange the stand alone desktop on Floor for those two/three days and disconnect the work at that time while it is not agreed for time.

If sometimes I miss one week/two week, will hr directly terminate me ?
