Trending @Accenture; Bench firing: need advise

I m on bench from quite some time. As it is evident accenture is laying off bench employees who are over 8 weeks...HR is scheduling call one on one anytime of the day and asking to resign next day with immediate effect. However few of them reported that some severance amount is being given to them as a compensation. Its sad because there are many in my knowledge who didnt get a call even once n when they are applying or reaching out or projects, getting no response. So my question is, should I "resign beforehand" or wait for them to reach out to me?(in this case no time is being given) and In my scenario, i need some time to get another offer, can do without salary but cant afford gap in my profile. So which scenario would be better ? Any HR /PMO/ senior ppl here who can guide here. What would be the scenaro in resignation on bench at this stage?

PS: Already done trying for project, due to some issue with primary skill..things are not moving as expected so have left hope now.

Start searching for a project within organisations and talk to pmo and poc of projects about your situation and bench time..... meanwhile start preparing for a better opportunity at any other company... don't rely on Accenture....this company is firing employees like it's no big deal...

Yeah ok..thanks...but they can reach out to me anytym now, it could be tomorrow also....n if it hppns, I wont have any time left...so in this situation if i self resign before HR reach out to me, would I be given some days to serve notice period? So that in the meantime, i cn search for an offer.

Don’t resign until HR come to you

Start searching outside . No option left since they are giving severance pay

No matter if you resign upfront or after getting a call, you may get released immediately. So, better wait for their call and keep trying inside as well as outside.

Dont resign now , if you resign now and they already have plan for termination then in that case they reduce your notice period which will be lack of pay. Better HR comes to you , in that case atleast you will get 3 months of salary.

With the current situation,You resign your jobs so that you can get a 3 month notice period which will solve the experience gap which you feel the risk of anytime of resignation.
