Trending @Accenture; Are low hikes and terminations good for people staying back?

In 2021-22, Accenture followed the trend of giving mass hikes and hiring which led to inflated salaries and people being on the bench. Cut to 2024-25, and this has come back to bite as market is bad and now people are getting low hikes and/or are being terminated. This will lead to further attrition and chopping down the workforce. Budget definitely is an issue here as companies need money based on the forecast of projects in the pipeline. Probably more attrition and termination to follow looking at the trend, but is this good for the company or for people staying behind as that would mean more budget to spread across?Only time will tell.
