Hii there I am in a department that has an internal bench . Officially I am in project.But I am on internal bench of the department.I have not been allotted any project for 4 months.Is there any way to get back on central bench?

Use this lime ro learn some skills which you want to progress further in your career. You have access to almost all sorts of learning content and ample amount of time. Better invest it in learning some skills. You will never get such opportunity down the line. I have been through the same thing and speaking with experience. I was on project bench for almost 8 months and learned a lot of other skills.
I am also in the same boat currently. I asked for release from internal bench pool but they are not releasing me. Is there any way to get released?
There’s an 18 month lock in period for your first project. You cant get a release from it until you have served 18 months.
This is because your first promotion is always in your first project. ie from L12 to L11.
For that as well you have 3 chances to get early promotion if you can pass any 1 school from techleap. Else you will get a default promotion after 20 or 24 months from your DOJ in the closest PA cycle.
