1. & 2. As per new policy 14days half salary got converted 7days full salary sick leaves. So, pt. is outdated.
2. & 4. Visibility is a little reduced, yes. Can be compensated however, by showcasing skills/accountability consistently. Project availability is ample but luck-based. eg, my project doesn't care about location, since main team is onshore. 5. No extra perk. Usual shuttle service, etc.

Hi. I operate from Kolkata.

Points 1 & 2: These are not valid anymore because the leave policy for Kolkata was revised last month (no salary deduction). You can check the updated policy.

Points 3 & 4: I believe the growth and projects are relatively limited compared to other locations, but this also depends on the individual, luck, and other factors.

Point 5: There are no additional perks or disadvantages that I’m aware of.

So unlike rest of the location, salary deduction does not happen anymore if you apply for sick leave or casual leave right? And same goes for the earned leaves as well?

No salary deduction be it any part of leave I take in Kolkata location.

4. Mainly you will get good amount of project
5. Perks is less Cost of living, you will get salary like top metro cities get.
   Disadvantage:- if you are vegetarian then not much opt.
