Trending @Accenture; Actual reason for no hike again this cycle
It’s honestly frustrating that Accenture hasn’t given a hike for three years straight. The root of the problem is how bloated the management structure has become. All these managers and upper management folks show their chargeability across every single project under their span — whether they do anything or not — and that eats into each project’s budget. Meanwhile, people like us who are actually doing the work are tied to just one project for our appraisals and hikes. Even if we’re helping on multiple projects, HR caps our utilization at 110% and doesn’t let us charge more than one officially. So while management is draining the budget from all directions, we’re left fighting over scraps. This cycle made it clear — for a 60-member team, only 1 promotion was allowed, 4 people got slapped with PIPs, and the rest were dumped into the “Continue to Learn” bucket. It’s demoralizing, knowing that no matter how hard you work, the system is rigged to reward the ones doing the least.

I genuinely hope more people start speaking up — if enough of us echo this sentiment, I’m ready to blow the whistle. I’ll take this across internal Viva Engage, email chains, and even social media if I have to. Enough is enough.

So i took my stand , i was handlling 3 projects but my chargebility was only for one but my senior manager who was not doing anything also taking chargebility from client . So i resigned and moving other comapany with 70%hike. He asked me to take paper back which i said no so he putted me in PIP.

Raise greivance on portal. Don't let the SM go away with this . With pip and another job you have nothing to lose.

Similar case in my span too, all the people who were on exit path were given a PIP regardless. I am going for the other way, I will be taking now as much work possible from all the projects before I blow the whistle and expose them.

Accentures leadership is itself full of useless people and they are so big in number that all the billing is being eaten up by them. So no profits no hikes to actually working people

I kindly request to share this post on WhatsApp with other Accenture folks too

The management show chargeability across all these projects without lifting a finger, draining the funds that should’ve gone to the people actually doing the work. What’s left is barely enough to run the projects, let alone reward the employees who are keeping everything afloat. It’s demotivating, unfair, and honestly, it’s starting to feel like there’s no point in going above and beyond anymore.

Totally agree with you. And there are some toxic managers are there who spoiling work culture. But they represent them like anything infront of higher management. Worst company, worst culture, Worst non technical manager who just always try to discuss in high level. Hello never want to understand and just forcing team to do anything. I feel manager should be technical sound.

Another valid point for sure, in my cycle the Promotions were already pre-decided and the HR did not even join the call. Since I was the Talent Lead for the round my Group Lead just asked for PIPs and never gave me the chance to represent or decide for Promotion case.

If any organization is making you cringe, it’s not worth investing your time and energy into it. If it’s causing that much discomfort, it might be best to walk away. Your peace of mind should always come first.

Absolutely but I will ensure others are aware what is happening and I will find my peace when others start to ask questions too

Yesterday mid year performance discussion done with my manager, constant 1 hour he was speaking about how I can improve, and can become more proactive. Not a single word about 10 hours daily work I do. Even with words they don't appreciate work, how can we expect that they will give a hike or promotion

Wait till they give the promotion to their favourite resource

Yes, IMO, the big companies are there to feed only higher management

Since they bring business, understood. But they should only feed off the business they bring and not every other project tagged to them which eats up the budget which the actual individual contributors should have got for their work.
