Trending @Accenture; Accenture new strategy to give no hike

Here come manager saying that you salary is pretty high according to market standards, so we can't hike, even after the project deliverables is going great. Didn't understand this shit.

Your manager has no say in your hikes.. he/she is merely passing on what they can see on their screen. The comments/reasons are also almost always constructed out of thin air by the manager. Only generic guidance is provided to them on what to say.

These HR and higher ups are making these decisions (fitting the bell curve) and to save themselves from our feedback and anger, they put it on managers (reward communicators) to relay that information.. managers are merely postmen/women
