Trending @Accenture; Accenture declining year after year

How many of you feels that Accenture overall standards have been deteriorating over the years. It seems that many employees have been expressing concerns about the increasingly toxic work culture, unrealistic deadlines, lack of benefits for India-based employees, and the absence of salary hikes, among other issues. Personally, I feel that several managers may not be qualified for their roles.

I was quite surprised to hear that individuals with only 7 years of experience are being appointed as Associate Managers (Level 8) with comparatively higher pay, while those with over a decade of experience at the Lead level (Level 9) are working under them, both of them are same skill set and same domain.

Another surprising aspect is that both these candidates had previously worked at T*S, where the current Associate Manager was nearly three years junior to the Lead. Assoc manager is recently hired and Lead was hired couple of years back. Interestingly, both are now assigned to the same project in Accenture.

Amazed... It all depends on the hiring manager while he updates his feedback on the workday post skill interview..

Also, if 7 to 9 years... Ideally it should be hired as CL11 only.... We shouldn't even consider these 7-9 years of candidates for cl10 as well... Do remember this...

Wth you are saying, 7 to 9 years for CL11 is really underpaid... I get your frustration but it might possible if the candidate has niche skill and has the ability to take responsibility of CL10 or CL11 + after Covid the salary standard has been reached significantly especially for batch 2021-23, hence we are not left with any option except tagging them with higher career level

Could not agree more, it's all politics and less skills and expertise

It feels like there’s a lot more conflict and office politics now, and managers are using junior employees for their own benefit. It’s really disappointing — I’ve been with Accenture for the past seven years and never experienced anything like this before.

I’ve also noticed that managers at the same level often play games with each other. And when it comes to women managers, it feels even worse — they’re often left out just because they don’t join the men on smoke breaks.

Yes its becoming worse, politics are everywhere in every company though but accenture is deteriorating interms of everything.

Well there are Vicious circle of problems here.

  1. The margins are squeezed when you get new projects . ACN charges a real premium. Those premium was for Quality that has been built by culture.

  2. COVID destroyed that culture , with WFH. Old folks went away & new folks joined in , half of whom Don't know about ADM.

  3. Salary has spiraled across years , but ACN has not revised its market trend for some yrs now.

  4. When demand surge lot of Donkeys get hired with Stallions who have mugge up answers & do ok interview , but can't really work on ground.

  5. Since Donkey also expect salary in range & par of stallion 3 yr old become TL due to problem in 3 ,bracket which fits.

  6. Stallions who are there cannot gallop because they are pace is not met by donkeys and they are leading them.

  7. Stallion is burdened with donkeys load at half salary of donkey.

So effectively the role & salary gets reversed.

In new org you should basically read people at -1 level role
