Travelling with a guilt
Travelling in train with a guilt of not sharing the lower seat to an old lady. I have shared lot of seats in past but just didn’t feel like sharing this time. Whats your opinion?

Dude Indian Male is the most taken advantage of in long distance trains. I've NEVER managed to sit on a lower berth. There is ALWAYS an old person and woman and kids who ask for it.
Once i went quickly, and tried to sleep off on the berth. Got some woman poking me for the lower berth.
I've always given up my seat in the past, but now I'm old enough to tell them I have back ache, foot ache, vomiting, whatever to get them off my case.

Thats how life has been with me, for the 1st time I denied

I always used to give my seat to anyone asking, but now I directly say I've diarrhea. Usually these old/pregnant ladies travel with their families they should manage within their family if it is a problem. They are just arrogant entitled people. Indian railway should give option to book seat of choice and make them chargeable just like airlines. PS- Im a girl and I too face this problem. I seriously hate these "Aunties". I always end up fighting with them real bad. Such uncivilized people.

Exactly what my thought was

We have met a similar traveller like yours. My wife is breatfeeding a kid. We got lower seats but not side lower (which is more convenient) which we tried to switch with a young lady. She harshly rejected maybe just like you do. Hope you wont face similar situation and if you do the person should have empathy towards to you. God bless you.
Ignore the guilt… You have done it a lot of times before… Enjoy the ride

Don't worry I have done this too. They prey on people who are traveling alone
Do u know the meaning of "Prey". The guy said it was an old lady. It's not like she was asking him for money or scamming. @AppleManiac is a douche and so are you. Own up without degrading others

You did good!

Less than 60? You can drop your guilt. Men traveling alone are treated like football by women. Women have to learn what equality means. Especially younger women (<40) try to be extremely exploitative. The problem is, most parents have not taught them civility. Their mothers taught them entitlement. The stories I could tell you about all the a-holes I have turned down! Even when I try to be considerate to old women, their adult daughters try to exploit more.

Football 😂😂
