Travel recommendations out of India?

Anybody for travel recommendations for a 5 day type itinerary out of india, but not super expensive ones like Europe etc.

I have been to Thailand, which was a great experience. Looking out for similar experiences and similar budget; and easy visa experience as well from India.

I was thinking about Oman as well, anybody been to Oman? Is it safe?
