Trending @Capgemini; Trapped in my career : Searching for a way forward

I wanted to reach out for some advice regarding my current situation at work. I’m working as a Guidewire developer, but I’m feeling quite stuck. I have no interest in this because the demand for Guidewire skills seems to be very limited, with only a few service-based companies utilizing it, and the compensation in those companies is quite low.

I have aspirations to work at top companies in roles like frontend, backend, or DevOps. However, my heavy workload is making it challenging to prepare for these transitions. I’m worried that if I continue in this position for several years, my experience will be viewed as irrelevant when applying elsewhere, as companies are not actively seeking Guidewire engineers.

I feel like I’m not growing in my current role and would really appreciate any suggestions or insights you might have on how to navigate this situation.

I am feeling depressed these days due to this problem. Should I take a bold step and resign?

I feel the same way as you, even though I'm working as a frontend dev there is no work in my team as a frontend dev , they are just updating and maintaining the things.

Sometimes I feel so pressurised and want to resign but better to not stress out yourself much and don't resign then financial pressure also will come. If your family is good with that then only do it ( and you don't have any effect by resigning much financially)

1). Do DSA , start it do it slowly slowly no problem. ( See frontend technologies are evolving now many people know react, I am also learning React , I have started multiple times stopped too.)

But I must say build logical thinking and do leetcode practice . (I will also start , I have tried purchased course but I didn't follow diligently and dedication is must.)

KEEP REMEMBER STRESS IS JUST WASTING YOUR TIME.

Keep your current project work at low priority 😬, they are not considering freshers career development as priority they just want their work that's the problem with service based companies

Don't resign hastily. Start learning frontend, backend, or DevOps skills in your free time. Build a portfolio, network, and apply for jobs. Transition gradually while still employed.

I am not saying u join scaler but try to learn from YouTube there are lot of good channels who teach good for DSA try to solve leet code problems and prepare your self as fullstack devloper or backend developer try to search diffrent project other than guidewire talk to your manager ( there is no hope he will agree) but we can try to give interview.iew outside. i am in same phase as you are we can connect and talk. and try to prepare as team . let me know if u like
