Transitioning out of consulting

Hello fellow Grapevinions!

I’m currently an Associate at McKinsey and exploring opportunities to transition into a product role. Before my MBA, I was a software engineer, but I’m trying to figure out the best way to make this shift.

How should I prepare for product roles, and what skill sets do companies typically look for?

What’s the best way to find roles, apply strategically, and connect with recruiters?

Any companies that come to mind where the work is actually enjoyable?
