Transition to GenAI career path
I am a Java developer,my current project is specific to eclipse plugin development. I have a keen interest in generative AI and have also done a lot of self study. My question is, is it possible to migrate to genAI based projects in other company/project without any certification or on paper experience? Is there any company that would hire and give a chance to a self trained genAI developer? Any suggestions on how to proceed from here it's very much appreciated.

I think the chances of straightaway getting a role as an AI or ML engineer is highly unlikely. Maybe if you have a relevant project experience where you have worked extensively on AI then there's a chance.
One way is probably to figure out if your current project requires Generative AI to speed up development and create impact. If it does, then try to implement it as introducing Generative AI on bigger projects like this can hold a lot of value in your resume.
Thanks for the insight. Agreed, I am also trying to fit in some AI relevant features in my current project so that I can add it to my CV.
Anyone can use Gen-AI. Just learn it by applying it for your own work first.
