Trending @Accenture; Transition into Data Science internally within Accenture
Anyone from L10 and above who made successful transition into Data Science internally in Accenture from different technology? Please share your experience and your approach on how you made it? Also how long did it take for you to prepare and make an internal switch within Accenture into DS.

I have transitioned to an internal data science project. Here are some things I would have done better if I knew from the start.
First ask your manager for release from the project. They will tell you several and some of them are even true don't blindly trust them. Because with him it had happened that they used to say that we will give you project release when you there is an opening in data science project. But when there used to be a opening, they backed out.
Plus your manager and all might tell there are not data science project opening. But they are only talking about their DU.
Try to get into AI capability. There can be a debate whenever it is good to be in Avanade or Capability. But there is a chance that you could better work from capability
When your manager agrees to give you a release take it in writing in mail. Because otherwise they will again cite something and backout and extend your stay
Start talking to different people in Accenture, see if they have openings in their project ask them what they do and all. There are lot of new hires being hired in Accenture for AI related stuff. So there would projects coming in. So it would be great if you can get I to any one of them.
Regarding what you have know. Understand data science is very vast field. You wouldn't learn everything at once. Wha you can try to do is start with a small project do from end to end and understand wha you are doing. Like if you take an NLP project understand why you do lemmatization, how does transformer work, gain the intuition for these stuff. Try to ask yourself what would you if you have an imbalanced dataset etc etc. You don't have to be perfect but in project interview you just need to convince the interviewer that if given the opportunity you are ready to learn and put in the work

Can you pls tell me for the data analyst as well.

For data analyst I think it should be the same. But try concentrating on SQL Python and Reporting Tools like Power BI. The rest would be the same. Also try learning Fabrics as Accenture wants a lot people certified on it. based on which they will try getting new projects
