Transition from service to product

Is it worth doing a product management course from masai for 6 months? Does it actually help you transition into a product role? I’m currently in a service based role in a public policy field with 4+ years of experience. Has anyone transitioned to one and can you please share your experience? I'm really confused and any guidance would be great :)
