Trending @Accenture; Transition for developer to BA

I have recently joined Accenture as a Senior Salesforce Developer, but I am interested in transitioning into a Business Analyst role. I began working on my current project 15 days ago and would appreciate any guidance on how to proceed with this career shift. I have good knowledge of business analyst as well. Can I roll out myself into the project and give interview for business analyst role, or is there any timeframe for me to wait for 6-18 months?
