Transfer to non ODC location
I have 1.5 years baby. Currently I am based out of Chennai location , I have my in - laws in salem who can help me to take care of my kids. My project is having ODC only in Chennai location inside tamilnadu. If I ask for transfer to Coimbatore location where my project have no ODC , WILL THEY GIVE TRANSFER? WHAT REASON WE SHOULD GIVE THEM TO CONVINCE? WHO SHOULD APPROVE THIS TRANSFER?
I seriously struggling alone in Chennai with no help. I need help to get WFH. ANY SUGGESTIONS HIGHLY APPRECIATED.
(P.S - They are not ready to provide Child care Exception request as she already crossed 1 year)
I seriously did not understand. Your in-laws are in Salem and you want to take a transfer to Coimbatore which is another 4 hours from Salem. So if your in-laws are ready to take care, why not switch your kids to Salem and you work from Chennai. In either case, I don't see you staying with your kids. May be I did not understand, what are you actually looking for.
Either way I wont be with my kid which is fine but for me 4 hours travel is better than 8-9 hours travel. So I am thinking to choose Coimbatore over Chennai. I am afraid of Bangalore Traffic , so I ruled out that option
This may not give you a transfer as the HR will say the same thing. You need a better reason that your inlaws are in Coimbatore, then it will work for you. Someone should be old and sick and they need support, those are valid reasons. But everything depends on your project manager who can approve or decline.
Get release from the project and when you’ll be in Rmg you’ll get calls from accounts based on your skill there you’ll check which one doesn’t have odc at your base location and they will allow you to wfh
Coimbatore based projects are at high demand and project with coimbatore ODC is very very rare(seats there is very limited). Transfer will be approved by project manager. Transfer to coimbatore was closed last month in Ultimatix
Any way that it may open for coimbatore location after 6 months?
Even i am in the same boat. Struggling to manage 2 kids alone in mumbai and manager not releasing from project too
