Trans disturbing me on local train. Did I do something wrong?
So, there I was, chilling on a train with my friend, having a random convo. Suddenly, a Transwoman came up and asked for some cash. We didn't have any change, so we politely said no but they kept insisting. After a few rejections, I got a bit frustrated and told her, "Why don't you get a job if you need money?"
She got pretty mad and cursed me, saying I'd get fucked by random men. Now, I'm not sure if I should be worried or what. I get that it's hard for them to find jobs, but hey, this is a big city with opportunities, right? I wonder if I was too harsh. Maybe I should've handled it differently.
This is just weird. Did i do something wrong?
There's no one right or wrong here tbh. It's just how it is.
Fact is, even if trans people try to apply for jobs they get denied and humiliated. Very few are able to find employment. I know because I've helped a sex worker get employed, she only earns 15k right now which is barely enough to survive in Mumbai.
