Trading or IT??

Recently I have been laid off from my design job recently. I tried so hard to get a job but my bad luck. I didn't get jobs and I am not seeing any hirings as well. So what I am thinking should I start trading at this free time I have backup money as well. I am a little bit confused about learning trading from the scratch. I have plenty of time as well. Should I spend the time learning trading or should I focus on IT job itself. Suggestions are welcomed
