
Toxic scrum master
The scrum master of my project is very much toxic and tries to micro manage my work, because of which I had an argument with that person and being a non technical person, that person does not understand anything and does not let us give any opinion as well and the Manager although a good person but still sides with the scrum and does not try to understand about our situation and asking us to listen to that person only and not get into any arguments, but this is so disrespectful and demeaning , affecting my mental health as well. What should I do in this situation. Please help.

Micro Managing- means he/she don't have trust on you or there is lot of pressure from upper management which he/she might not able to handle it
Set the expectation with her/him, what SM needs from you, is about frequent status SM needs in a day then ask him that i will update you about yiur task by so and so time.( which is still not a best practice as status should be given once in a day unless it is some high prio, blocker issue)
So discuss with your SM, try to explain in lowest possible lay man language as non technical background.
I know this may sound frustating but you to way out it.

Set up a 1-on-1 and discuss issues in detail.
Note down minutes of the discussion.
If it doesn't work out afterwards, send to your manager and scrum master's manager
