The attendance is recorded based on the combination of card+fingerprint. If he doesn't have his card and is using a temporary pass (the guard has to use his card to open the gate for him) then how do you think the attendance will be recorded?
Yes it will be recorded as wfo but you have to be inside the office for 3.5 hrs

You can apply for regularise attendance. And ask manager to approve. In my DC ( Chandigarh)it doesn't get recorded.
U need to visit facility or support in your dc. They will add from their side. Also OD balance will get deducted from wfh balance
