Trending @Capgemini; To switch or not after 2.3 Years

Hello fellow mates,

I joined Capgemini as a fresher in August 2022 and worked on a project involving Informatica and Data Warehousing, which is still ongoing. Now, the company is transitioning to GCP cloud, and the new tech stack is PySpark + Databricks + GCP.

I’ve already started exploring opportunities as a Data Engineer and completed certifications in Databricks, GCP, and Power BI. However, I feel that I might not be included in the new team and could be moved out of my current BI team by May 2025, despite my efforts to upgrade my skills.

Because of this, I’ve started exploring new job options. I’ve received an offer from Infosys for a Senior Systems Engineer role at 6 LPA, while I’m currently in a Sr. Analyst position (2.3 years of experience) with a salary of 4.35 LPA. I’m also up for a promotion to Associate Consultant between January and April next year.

I’m in a bit of a dilemma and would really appreciate your thoughts and advice on what to do in this situation. So should i wait or move on from here

Thanks a lot and lots of Love!♥️

Dont ever join infosys at 6 LPA. If possible try to leverage the offer letter and aim for higher CTC . You can get 8-9 LPA at 2.3 yrs. Also keep in mind that infy wont give you any hike for next 2 years atleast. So eventually it will be not fruitful for you to join Infy. Explore and get a better offer.

I would suggest , wait for that promotion and switch till then learn and keep giving interviews if you get any good pkg then take it . Because there is not much difference in 4.35 to 6lpa
What there are Chances after that promotion and learning you may get better than that .

This is my thought.
May vary depending on your conditions

All the best
