To people residing in West Bengal, why TMC?
For what achievements of TMC do voters vote for them, or will continue to do so? As an outsider, I'm just curious to know.
Is there a good side of TMC that we're not aware of?

Seeing you've a verified badge of PayTM, you should be knowing that as per recent report, Kolkata is the only Tier1 city which saw a decline in the number of offices/companies in last few years. How is it helping the aspirants there, who wants to work in companies?
And, how did speaking Bengali prevent Murshidabad natives from turning into refugees in their own district?
That sounds awesome. But West Bengal is not made of just Kolkata correct.
What about the violent political killings that happen across other districts in Bengal during election time? 100's of districts go un-elected.
As per NCRB report, West Bengal has the lowest conviction rate (single digit) in India. A colleague of mine from there says, there is no order in Bengal and only money talks.

Most educated and aspiring Bengalis don't... But with significant amount of Muslims and illegal immigrants for whom development doesn't matter and only religious fanaticism matters TMC manages to win.

Supreme Court is so stupid here that they allowed Aadhar for SIR, whereas it clearly states in Aadhar that it is not a proof of citizenship. Momota Begum has already instructed to be ready with (fake) Aadhar to the immigrants.
Add to that the freebies they keep distributing throughout the rural areas, corruption in govt departments which issue Aadhar, ration card etc to illegal migrants, corrupt syndicates which will suck out money from you when you try to buy land or property, illegal pyramid schemes that run rampant through the state like dear lottery and peerless.
All this money is used for mechanisms that help them buy votes, intimidate competitors, etc. Needs to stop soon.
TINA - There is no Alternative. The Left has still not been able to wash off the stink of 35 years. And Bengal BJP is composed of the most corrupt politicians from TMC, who switched only to remain outside jail. The remaining BJP leaders (the original ones) can't even communicate properly in the Bengali language - easily tagged as Hindi-speaking outsiders.
Probably, this is the most meaningful response in this thread. . So, it means BJP or for the fact, any other political party is not able to form good ground level presence and leadership, consisting of honest people. . Why not give one opportunity to another political party, apart from TMC and see how they do? Corrupt politicians are spread across all parties, no doubt of that.
The fear of political violence, especially post-election, means that in rural areas or low income neighborhoods in towns and cities, people vote only for the party they are sure of winning. The party in power always has an advantage there. It's only when a change is sure (as was in 2011), will the votes flip massively.
The other reason is Bengal has 30-33% Muslims, which BJP has alienated. They already get 40%+ votes (from anti-incumbency + Hindutva). The only way they can win is by a post-election with a staunch Muslim party (like AIMIM) but no such party exists.

It was laughable when Durga Puja organisers were cheering when 'Momota Begum' was offering them chanda for organising the festival this year. Those who don't know, she gives chanda to these small locality groups to build pandals for the festival. . They cheered like kids when they get lollipop 😂 with pom pom in their hands. . This peanuts are unfortunately enough for these illiterates to decide their vote. No talk of development. . See what is happening to Europe now! Taking over their lands too. And, Bengal people are happy to earn a little decent money and move out, or stay back and close their door kundi to keep outside problems away.
Most of whomever support the TMC support them because there's fewer political options other than that. Some are solulu who support coz they have to (mostly business folks), and the poor mostly do because they have an IQ below 40 and are manipulated by the most basic lies told by the TMC folks (and also by freebies).

There you get around 40% of total population vote proportion of TMC which means win.
