To fellow Researchers/Consultants

Hiii all. I really want to ask fellow Researchers and Consultants or anyone who is familiar.

I'm someone with almost 2 yrs of experience in research (Primary), my work includes travelling various geographies within India and have meetings with respondents and clients and have an insight sharing session. It includes both client and vendor coordination.

I have been wondering what the future is in research? Have any of you changed careers? I am not specifically looking to change careers I just want to understand the growth and how I can upgrade? I have heard you can switch to Consulting as well with research experience. Also, what other career trajectories I can go to?

I know this is a pretty vague post, let me know if you all want any details to answer my question.
