To be or not to be

Hi folks in the IT industry, it's been a year since I'm jobless and at home with not so useful and a wasteful IT hardware sales job experience. With skillset of MS office which even a highschool kid can acquire in few months, is there a hope for engineering graduate for something good /better in life. Suggestions please. Do something on own that may eventually lead to failure or buckle up and go find a job....???

I'm a developer. But I always wanted a sales role. Your role is a goldmine. Just keep applying for roles in top tech companies. Keep giving interviews. You will land a role. Just keep giving interviews no matter what.
