Following points would help:

  1. Research and Identify your current market Value.
  2. Focus on your skill sets as a selling point. Interviews are about selling yourself. Find the JD and focus on selling to the wants. Then add your extra skills like a premium upsell.
  3. Connect with people doing the same role in the company and gain their insights
  4. Do a thorough homework on the company
  5. Have a readiness check list that would help you ascertain that you are ready for the next role and you have all the relevant skills needed for the next roles
  6. Be curious and ask more questions, take your time before answering
  7. Have a really good portfolio ready and keep things crisp and beautiful. Anyone who reads irrespective of the background should understand something easily.
  8. Network alot and ask for referrals. Don't shy away chase after them and get things done.
  9. Don't just depend on Linked In there are a plethora of platforms out there leverage all of them.
  10. Keep cool and don't lose yourself no matter how long it takes.
