Time to Switch or Not ??
I started with TCS in 2021 along with that I was working in US hours with a web3 firm managing their content and socials.
After that TCS was asking for WFO, so i went Bangalore and joined the office, also it was good as i could connect with people physically from web3 too.
The web3 guys asked me to join them permanently in the tech team but I didn't cause everyone at home thought it was risky (anything related to crypto they think is risky).(Which i regret)
So I left the work at web3 firm as it was not able to give my best due to commute to office. I started my prep for switching i got officers 3x 2x but I settled for a less one as it was full work from home (another mistake).
But I thought it's a small company (300-400) I'll get atleast 30-40% hike but now I got to know last they the higest here was just 16% , i use to get that in tcs for A+ 🫠and better perks from client.
Now, I feel as if they give these peanuts to me I want to just switch again.
I have 4 years of experience in Node.js and JS frameworks + 1 year in Native App Development.
How much would be the lowest and highest i should settle for & what would industry pay me for.??
Any help is appreciated.
it feels like you've been making decisions based on what other people value – your family's idea of safety, the market's idea of a good offer, the comfort of working from home. each move was a reaction to the last one, not a step toward what you actually wanted. the real question isn't whether to switch from this job. it's when you'll start making a choice that's actually for you.

I also worked with a US-based Web3 product company last year while simultaneously holding a job at an Indian firm.
The work culture was completely different, almost poles apart. However, after Trump came to power, the company struggled to secure further investments and failed to attract new funding, which eventually led to laying off around 90% of the team. Despite that experience, I would still prefer working with them again or with any other US-based company in the future.
