Time management is a big task

Hello everyone,

I’ve been working in 5 days wfo model and my shift timing is also very odd like 12pm to 8:30pm and 1.5hrs for commuting in total. I hardly get time for myself to study/personal development or any co-curriculum. It takes exactly 12hrs for office end to end(getting ready, commuting, work hours) and 7hrs of sleep which is necessary. Now if I deduct these hours from 24hrs I just get 3-4hrs in which I should spent with my family. Earlier I used to work in WFH working model from last 4 years and now all of sudden after my job switch I’m not able to get morning fully or evening either for myself. Feels like a perfect slaver now in week days. What should I do to and to manage time for study? Currently I have started learning dsa for survival and system design.

Welcome to the club, bro. Same situation with me. I have been in Accenture with 4+ years of work from home, now suddenly in TCS 5 days wfo, and mind you my full travel time to and fro is 3 hours. (2 Bus, 1 metro)

I would first give tough suggestion that man up, the reason I switched is for salary increase and I got 60% hike, but now it feels if it was really worth it, but u have made a decision, so don't go back no matter what. Stand firmly for atleast 6 months.

Now generous suggestion, ask your company if they provide shuttle service and if it's feasible for you, difference? U get to sleep or watch a movie or make a friend, or scroll phone or even study a bit u r studious, which saves time.

Last suggestion, if there is no shuttle and u earn enough then go in cab daily, for me it takes Rs 500*2, so monthly around 22k is gone, which is about 20% of my salary, and if it gives u comfort, it's worth it.
