Time for resignation
After 15 years of my tenure at TCS I finally decided to resign from the company.if I don't resign I will never be able to come out . No I have no offer but would like to explore other opportunities after a break.
Any idea what all details I need to collate?

You might be having a fair idea in you interest based on your experiences. I suggest you to dive deep into that.
Also, please try your best to secure a remote job. This would help you to take care of your family better and save a lot of your time which you could invest on yourself.

Exactly, that’s my mindset as well. I’m currently searching for a hybrid or remote job that not only aligns with my long-term career goals but also allows me to support my family. I believe finding a position that offers both flexibility and growth opportunities is key to achieving a healthy work-life balance, while also ensuring that I can meet my personal and professional responsibilities. It’s important for me to find a role that provides stability and allows me to thrive both at work and at home.

Jumping to new companies with 15 years of experience is all about pricing yourself. If you seek exploration, go for it—but job security is crucial. If you’re looking for money, settling in an on-site role with TCS is a smarter choice.

I was there in tcs for last 18 years, now I feel why I wasted my career in tcs. Finally I got offer and serving notice period. Waiting for last day of tcs

All the best

Can you elaborate your journey, learnings, how many onsite you have done, salary progression over time? Please

I started my career as a developer, then transitioned into a technical lead role, and later moved into a senior data engineer position. However, when comparing my salary progression to industry trends, it feels like it has barely moved. I also haven’t had the chance to go onsite, nor have I pursued it due to personal reasons.
During my time at TCS, I’ve learned a great deal. I've had supportive managers, and I didn’t face much struggle, especially with office politics. I gained a lot of knowledge and found comfort in my roles. But now, I feel it's time to take a break, reassess my career, and explore better opportunities with higher pay and more chances for growth.
