Total YoE - 5+ Current Company - US based startup Role - SDE 2 Remote Current CTC: 45 Base + 5L Variable bonus + Esops

I started my carrer in service based company at 4.5LPA, after that worked for two indian unicorn startups. Now working in US based startup from almost an year.

PS: Wanted to brag from so long, didn't had the courage to do so till now

Had a similar trajectory ~5 YoE Started at 4.2L and now at 45L + RSUs What helped was making impactful switches and making broader impact. Made sure management knew about the progress I was making and documented everything. Money wasn’t the motivation for switching. I chose roles where I would make a lot of contributions and impact. And used that impact to negotiate promotions and hikes

Great, there are many people i know that have grown their salaries by 2-3x in the last 2-3 COVID years. I really hope that these people (most of them dont add that much value) are brought down to ground in current environment
