Starting my career in 2013 as a Trainee Decision Scientist at Mu Sigma with a salary of 3.3 LPA, I embarked on a journey of growth and learning. After just 1.5 years, I moved into retail analytics in 2015 with a salary of 8 LPA. Over 3.5 years, with two hikes and a promotion, my salary grew to 14 LPA by the time I left in 2018.

At the end of 2018, I joined an insurance company with a package of 19.8 LPA. Through a hike and market corrections, my salary increased to 22.7 LPA.

In 2020, I shifted my focus to NLP and deep learning, joining a startup with a fixed salary of 36 LPA. Within a year, leveraging a competing offer of 54 LPA, I negotiated my way to a 50 LPA all fixedsalary in 2021.

Later in 2021, I transitioned to a Fortune 500 company with a 40% hike. My package included a 54.5 LPA base, 10.8 LPA variable, and a 6+6 LPA joining bonus, totaling 71.3 LPA.

In 2024, my work in Gen AI and NLP, along with some blogs I published, caught the attention of a Google recruiter. In November 2024, I joined Google as an L5 engineer. My package includes a 58 LPA base, 4 LPA retirals, an 8.7 LPA bonus (15%), stocks worth 52 LPA vesting monthly, and a 7 LPA joining bonus.

From 3.3 LPA to a comprehensive package of over 130 LPA, this journey reflects the power of upskilling, persistence, and seizing opportunities at the right time!
