Ticking Boxes vs Real Learning – My PIP Story

Got pushed into PIP thanks to a chutiya manager. Now, coming from a design background, I’ve been told to clear one of these trainings with a written exam — fail it and you’re terminated.

Options given: • AI/ML → Python, EDA & Visualization, Supervised/Unsupervised Learning, NLP, Ensemble methods. • AWS → S3, Glue, Athena, RDS/Aurora, Redshift, EMR, etc. • Azure → Identity & Governance, Compute, Storage, Virtual Networking, Monitoring/Backup.

Looks solid on paper, right? But in reality, they just push Udemy videos + SME sessions where you can’t ask questions, can’t raise hands, can’t even speak. Just PPTs with data. No code. No interaction. No learning.

So what’s the real goal here? Skill building and growth, or just ticking boxes until people fail out? Is this really the culture TCS wants to promote?

Yes this the way of termination, I'm business analyst and code is not my chapter. So, how this skill is helpful for me....they are doing things like illiterate one....like they owe us
