Threatened with ‘Unprofessional Remark’ — What Now?

If I’m being told to resign or face an “unprofessional remark” in my experience letter, how do I protect myself?

For what they are asking to resign?

They’re asking me to resign because I’m currently on the bench — but the reason I’m on the bench is that I worked for 6 months on a project without formal allocation. That happened due to internal mismanagement and broken verbal promises from the leadership. Now instead of acknowledging that, I’m being told to resign or get an “unprofessional remark” in my experience letter.

Heyya you do seem to be in a tight spot. My answer would be check if you have any proof you worked on that project then in that case drop the same in an email to the heads of the people after you with them in CC and the project you worked for. Don't hesitate add everyone in CC.

If they still pressure put in your paper dude. I feel you will do much better elsewhere than this toxic crap hole. Go for it and believe in yourself. Better things are coming.
