Thoughts on Humane AI Pin?
What do you think about the ai pin?
Looking at their demo video, it looks magnificent. Form factor and interaction is unlike anything seen before actually.

I have drunk enough Juicero pressed fresh juice to tell what bullshit tastes like.
They are trying to invent a product line which you don't need and will even in the best case just be a gimmick. At this point just pull your phone out of your pocket or just look at your smartwatch which already does everything this thing can.

Looks great and not too expensive

@Ironman30 exactly, I wonder if it’s a gimmick or genuine innovation

Nice product but still too expensive. Waiting for diy Arduino kits 😂

@SuchMemeMuchWao people spend more on a phone so I think it’s a fair deal if it can substitute your phone

I still think diy AI projects are going to beat these out of the park. Just needs a few years is all. Custom coded open source AI are going to be a game changer.
Their hardware doesn't seem impressive enough either tbh, especially that projector display. More innovation in form factors needed, glasses are a better direction imo.

Yes, better than Facebook products. People can be real and productive. Facebook bc Rayban mein camera daal ke status update Karo bolta reh jayega

Isma bhi camera ha

This is voice first device not hand and eye first. Camera is there but uska usage is not as easy as mobile or Rayban cam

This has that massive Google Glass hype feels. The tech is nice but we humans love our screens

Every single feature that it has can be done in my phone as well. Our phones have way more processing power and better hardware as well. It’s just that they have packaged into a nice little device, maybe useful for content creators who travel the world a lot. Apart from that, the “AI” narrative that they are trying to sell is complete BS.
Just a fancy and compact piece of hardware which at best can do half of what our phones are capable of.

Magnificent is such an overkill word used for a trashy demo. The arrogance of the guy who worked a few decades at Apple to project such a disinterested "minimalistic" lacking of passion demo. The lack of passion is why I would never buy something from them.
In terms of the capabilities. An AI pin or a wearable that doesn't listen all the time is also bit stupid. The showcased capabilities are more of a watch that can click photos than a next generation interactive way to interact with tech vs a phone.

I guess you can't use glance and serve ads over there.
