It will only get worse. We arent going back to WFH in TCS. TCS managers wont change. Rebelling wont help. Peanut jokes have become old.
Either we leave or we reach the position where we have the authority to change. First is easier.
You may be technically incompetent today. But it is entirely in your hands to work on yourself.

They want to reduce workforce who joined during covid period with market standards salary. The TCS model is to charge more from client and pay pennies to its employees. This sudden increase in salary have caused a dent in this model. So they want more people to leave. So the only way is to make the already toxic environment more toxic.
What people can do is quiet quit and do the minimum work. If everyone does that, then management will have to change their ways or lose their job. But that won’t happen because it’s human nature to fuck others for their benefit.
The second best option is to leave as soon as possible to somewhere else. Once the top talent leaves, the quality will gradually drop on deliverables and that will lead to loss of projects and clients and maybe do a cleansing of top management.
Them making the already toxic environment to more toxic is actually motivating the less paid employees along with the covid period associates with high pay.
Hoping a significant % of good talent leaves TCS so that the management change their ways.
