This is Insane !!
Hello everyone,
I am being released from a project, due to location constraints. Before I was working from home as my client needs people to work from secure odc which wasn’t in my city.
Now when I want to return asset the HR is saying things which aren’t making sense to me.
I collected my client asset from the city I am residing in. Now they want me to travel to another city and hand over to an employee who will be working on it in future.
I asked them to let me return to the office from where I have collected it and then TCS should proceed with delivery partners. But they saying it is not possible.
What happens if the asset gets damaged while travelling whose responsibility will be of this?
The office they are asking me to return asset will take me a whole 24 hours of journey and round trip to there for just to return asset isn’t making sense to me.
Before here I was working with another company they generally arrange pick up from home only. And tcs is not even arranging pick up even from their own office.
Does anyone else faced similar issue?
Handover to IS team in your location or an admin or any nearest DC

This can happen in TCS only. Do one thing ask HR to write this over the email and respond to him that TCS will be responsible for any damages caused to the device and keep in CC your manager , SDM, PM and delivery head.

I faced the same issue, we need to get a mail from other city IS team that they are okay with submitting the asset in this location and from our project manager we need to get another mail stating the courier charges are billed under their Swon. Using these two mails we can submit to the local IS team

Take everything on email and also ask who will do asset checks for full and final clearances
