If employees were facing harrassment, wonder why didn't they approach POSH Committee
Policies in India exist to cntrl poor ppl and benefit the rich. Like someone's someone will get favour but if u raise ur voice they'll show rule book for u. And u don't question that relative.
Here TCS is doing the same, they'll show rule book to court and will blame employee.
I'm saying it again, discrimination is not between religion or caste, it's rich vs poor
Lol people here are dumb. POSH and HR exist to protect the company. Not the employee. If POSH and HR took it seriously to "save" the employee, in my current workplace i.e. IDFC Bank, almost all the senior management in analytics would've been fired under POSH. But HRs have actively tried to suppress it or asked to let go. How do I know? I was asked to let it go and so were many other girls. SM and AS are big pervs with no one to act against them as HRs are I cahoots.
I get your point, even in this case the rational thing to do is to approach both the POSH and Police with the evidence and not approach the Police only, which these TCS employees did.
Employees are usually scared to file complaints due to fear of job loss or other types of discrimination from higher ups.
This is more prominent in young girls from middle or lower income groups. They only know how much struggle they have done to get the job and convince their family and relatives to allow them to job.
If there were are no complaints even after so much.

It's easier to approach the TCS POSH committee rather than the police. And, there would have been surely actions. Team Lead is a very small fish in TCS, very very low in the pyramid structure and they can throw out easily or even change the project/location. I have personally seen a case where the person cannot take any project in the location after a complaint
Maybe the complaint was made by others instead of employees
