Trending @Accenture; The workstation/system/machine/laptop they provide is worst and with VDI, it becomes a nightmare!
The computers we are given for work are outdated and slow. Then we are asked to work on VDI within that slow system.
If by any chance, your work lags, your manager treats you as if you have been partying all time around and you have never opened the tortoise laptop.
If you reach out to your manager regarding your system issue, they will first scold you for not bringing this so called “useless” problem to them earlier and then the hierarchy chain starts.
You draft an email, get approval from project manager? To get approval from project manager, you need to first raise a support ticket. The support options are limited so you first need to raise a support ticket in some other head and then there will be a person assigned to you. The support staff after a day pings you and takes your system in remote. They then do some cleaning and say your system is now troubleshooted and now it can defeat a Lamborghini.
You try to explain them to increase the ram, they would say get the approval from manager. Then you go back to the manager and ask for RAM increase. They will scold you again for the delay in tasks and consider you a trash.
Still, by any chance you are able to convince them, you then need to follow a crap process again by raising a request to system enablement team, they will then ask you to raise a support ticket again. Then with the approval from manager and support ticket, you ping them back. Then they will ask to halt so that they can check the inventory.
After they check the inventory, they will come back in a week, that too by your regular pings/pokes to them, saying that see, there are only 1 device left which is as same as yours existing one. Do you want to get it replaced?
With all that hard-work, time waste and stress, you just try to visit my exit and drop your papers but then you realise, portal.accenture is taking time to load!!!
Btw, there are leaders, who do nothing, are provided with a mac m2 or m3…

Bhai, remember, every problem is a hidden opportunity. Slow laptop? Time to showcase your patience and problem-solving skills. Jai Hind!
