The “network” scene in most tier 3 colleges? It’s rough. Like, really rough.

The vibe is so demotivating that people would rather just stay solo. Instead of hyping each other up, folks there actively discourage you from learning. Talking about studies? That’s basically reserved for the night before exams. Mention tech outside that window, and you’re almost an alien.

It is so bad that people prefer to remain alone. Forget encouraging, they even discourage you to learn.

In most of these colleges, you’re lucky if you find 1-2 people who are into tech. And guess what? All of their real friends? They’re online.

Reminds me of my days of worst fucking govt engineering college. I have erased all memories from my brain of those awful 4 years because that was a miserable time and miserable teachers and students.

I also agree with this. Have seen it happen and it’s just the worst. Total desi crab mentality.

Very relatable. Being from a tier 3 college, I was one of the few in my batch who could code. Many couldn't do hello world in fourth year if their life depended on it (including the toppers). I was in low 60s percentage wise and wasn't elegible for Infosys as well.

I’m glad you talked about it. Tier 3 colleges will discuss everything except what they’re studying. It is all about getting that degree, impressing that lecturer and bitch about everything else

Exactly, I have seen some people saying they have graduated from tier 3 college and they got into FAANG. At the same time they say, they had coding culture in their college, seniors used to motivate them guide them, thu used to have hackahons etc etc. BC how can be your college tier 3 if you have those many things.
