The loneliness of being self sufficient.

I disagree. If self sufficient, loneliness doesn't happen. Loneliness is a symptom of not being self-sufficient.

Loneliness is the by-product of the process of becoming self-sufficient.

I’ve been thinking about this. Do you think the loneliness comes from the self-sufficiency itself, or from not having a solid inner circle to fall back on?

​I’ve always felt that being independent feels very different when you have a strong foundation of family or friends behind you. It makes self-sufficiency feel like a strength rather than a burden. Is it possible it’s less about needing people and more about having the right people?
