In a way you are right. Any common sensical govt could have asked EC to prepone/postpone elections rather than having it in scorching heat.

@VolTa_musk In this current scenario, a single date change in elections would have made the opposition crazy. Again, they will declare that EC is BJP's tool and it's anti-democratic and whatnot.😂 Opposition is not listening to logic anymore.
