The H1b visa fees is an eyewash
The administration clarified that it only applies to new applications, not to renewal. The fees are one time. So it's a nothingburger as it's going to increase the demand of visa holders while denying new visas to the fresh applicants. In short, it's going to make NRIs richer while Indian workers no longer have the ladder to catch up.

That's not what the clarification from the white House says today. They said no impact on existing holders and renewals. Only new applications are charged one time fees of 100k USD
