Performance Review: A Corporate Comedy

In the land of cubicles and coffee breaks, Two colleagues stood, with much at stake. One with an 'A', shining bright, The other a 'D', not as light.

Yet when the raises were revealed, The numbers had us all quite thrilled. For 'A' and 'D', though far apart, Got the same hike, oh what an art!

Said 'A' to 'D', "How can this be? My 'A' should surely outshine thee!" 'D' just smiled, sipped his tea, "Perhaps they value alphabetically?"

So here we are, in this raise race, Where 'A' and 'D' share the same space. It seems the hike's not about the grade, But a random button someone played.

So let's not fret about the bands, Or try to decode HR's plans. For in this corporate hike ballet, We all just laugh and say "touche!"
