The ghosting phase

Hello grapeviners, hope you all are doing well and are with job security in your life!

I wanted to share one thing that companies do or maybe a few companies I just don't if that's how the recruitment culture is in India but yeah so I was interviewing for the Asst Manager role in Marketing for Tata Comm. I gave my rounds and interviewers gave me positive feedback during each of my rounds.

Then it came to the final round where I had to submit a PPT for a case study and then I was supposed to present it to the panels. I submitted my ppt on time and was told to wait this happened on 23rd October and guess what today is 26th November and I got to know from a friend who works there that they already hired someone else.

Now I don't have an issue with that cause rejection is a part of it but imagine being in the final round, giving your time and effort for a ppt and then just getting ghosted, I tried calling the HR, texted him on WhatsApp, reached home out via email but he is still just ignoring my message.

I feel disrespected as an applicant all I could have asked for a response even if it was not in my favor and a feedback so I could have worked on what's missing in my skills. Is that how an HR is supposed to behave with no empathy towards a candidate. I want all the Hrs to answer it and let me know if this is the right culture!

The issue is that it's not a startup it's Tata Comm from the Tata legacy! So something that is unprofessional is highly not expected from them

Us bro us ..I've been trying to follow up on my interview invite for the CXQO Associate position, and I'm incredibly frustrated with how unprofessional this process has been. The HR representative first said I'd get the invite by Friday night, which didn't happen. Then, I was told it would be moved to Tuesday. It's now almost Monday night, and I still haven't received anything.

What's even more concerning is that when I tried to reach out for clarity, the HR representative blocked my numbers and has completely stopped responding. This is unacceptable, especially after I put in the time and effort to prepare for and clear the test.

I need a clear solution now. Who can I contact to escalate this? Is there an alternate point of contact, or should I reach out to someone at a higher level in the recruitment team? I've done my part and deserve to be treated with respect.

I guess if you have the connection with the hiring manager you should contact them! Or go to LinkedIn and talk to someone from the company who works there and get to know what's going on internally, cause that's how I got to know about someone else getting hired for the position I applied for.

Name and shame the HR's name. Need to call them out. This has become a menace.

It's not wrong to not respond when you apply to a role. But to be ghosted at the last round after you have delivered on a project is fucked up.

If one isn't currently employed and doesn't mind anyone knowing that he is interviewing, that person could even publicly call it out on LinkedIn tagging the HR, hiring manager and the firm.

I know that's a way to do the right thing but then the internet is very harsh to people I don't want anyone to get any sort of discomfort or backslash because somehow ethics in me doesn't allow me to take his name and shame him. The more I blame the company culture and policies because of them such activities are happening and that's why I have named the company openly.

Job ghosting MNCs

I could see some companies are simply ghosting jobs. I have faced the similar situation in Cognizant, persistent, Synechron and Wissen. Get final round of discussion feedback as positive and then HR will not reply you through email or ph...
