The Decline of Accenture

Accenture is not so "SWEET" under Julie Sweet afterall. Gone are the golden, glorious of days of Accenture when Perrie Nanterme was the CEO, when the company flourished, when employees were the focus when performance and hardwork were valued. People used to get 10–15% hike without promotion. Ever since she became CEO, decline of this company started from that very day. The management has rotten to its core and only cares about making money for the top tier while leaving out the rest and all these they are enjoying at the cost of blood and sweat of poor ASEs, SEs and SSEs. Now nobody wants to join Accenture, it's nobody's dream company anymore, the ratings have dropped, reviews are negative, Hrs are as good as non existent being puppets of management, toxicity is at its peak, quality of work has degraded drastically, the top tier management is filled with toxic and incompetent people from Infosys, TCS etc. Most of the people are leaving and the ones still working are the ones who do not have any other offer and hence simply working out of compulsion. It has reduced itself to ashes, now Accenture is like just any other Indian IT services company. I call it TCS 2.0. Julie Sweet is a classic example of incompetence at its best!! There should be a case study on her in top business schools like IIMs about how to ruin a top-class company in few years!

It's the same story not only for ASE, SE and SSE, at least there is a default promotion in these levels based on MAL. Probably the worst are those in AM level, this level is like a carrot in front of a donkey. And one has to do a lot of things in this level just to get that M level promotion.
But the last line is very true. Accenture has changed for the worst in the last 3 years. You cannot run a company with low employee morale and leadership is doing absolutely nothing. CEO is only concerned with shareholder profit. Macro economics factors are same for all IT companies, where is the competitive advantage of employees when they are working with the market leader?? Surely accenture has deteriorated in quality.

Welcome to new accenture from this cycle onwards they have even stopped default promotion...so now you get paid less as well while doing more work!! Perks of having an incompetent CEO

This people are giving hikes to lateral hires..and not giving hikes to existing resources who deserve hikes at least

Quality of the work degraded because they hired fake candidates from Andra and they always argue fellow colleagues whenever you ask some clarifications
Pathetic

Its a pity to see the current situation of Accenture. Earlier I used to take pride while saying I work in Accenture but now I feel ashamed. I try to avoid calling out where I work!

Is infosys same ?

SquishyRaccoon

Yes more or less these companies belong in the same catagory. Earlier Accenture was superior to TCS,Infosys,Wipro but now they are the same!

I have offer from Accenture Strategy & Consulting. They are giving me almost 50% hike. But reading this post I am very much sceptical in joining. I think if I join I cannot expect a hike for the next 2 years. But on the other hand I am also thinking about the quality of work and Projects.

Well said. Thanks for the post.In 2022,I joined Accenture because I heard it's a top IT company among other companies. It gives good hikes n all.But it's just nightmare

GroovyTaco

I myself not getting any hike aft 2022.Everytime they r giving false promises. You are eligible for promotion but neither m getting hike nor promotion.Just pathetic situation overall. But when it comes in terms of delivering your sprint work they don't do any compromise.
