The death of humanity
I was out for drinks with colleagues yesterday. It was a group of 3 guys and 2 girls. I really liked one of these girls.
We happened to discuss the Pune Porsche incident which had deeply unsettled all of us. Especially how the relationship between the guy and the girl who died was used against their parents, who were trying to get justice for their deceased kin.
I almost cried thinking about what their parents were going through. The country lost two techies, those who were a productive member of the society. On the other hand, the bratty son of that builder was able to bend our laws to his will.
The country had failed the common man by giving a small slap of the wrist bail to the accused and asking him to write an essay. His mother cries crocodile rivers while the father decides to evade arrest by sending multiple cars.
This is extremely distressing to hear, and makes me feel that I need to leave this country as soon as possible. My talents are better used in a country where I will get the right healthcare, justice, education and social welfare for my sons and daughters.
I am done paying taxes in a country that has done nothing for me.
I proceeded to smoke a cigarette and decided to calm my nerves. But this kept me up all night. What does this make you feel?

I understand your frustration with the current situation in our country. Many people believe that leaving for a different country might be the solution to their problems. However, leaving the country might not change anything for you in the long run. Every place has its own set of challenges, and running away from the ones we face here won’t necessarily lead to a better life elsewhere. Real, lasting change happens when we actively participate in improving our own society. As the saying goes, “We may stumble and fall but shall rise again; it should be enough if we did not run away from the battle.”
If we want to see real change, it is crucial that we stay, vote wisely, and act with integrity. By doing so, we contribute to building a better future for ourselves and for generations to come. Remember one right thing and you have already change something.

Passed by that spot last night on my way to the airport to pick up my wife - people were still gathered there around their photos with candles. I felt a kind of impotent rage.

I have thought this PoV for years. Before I was able to understand the politics of this country I thought what kind of people are those who leave their own country to settle in some foreign land. Later I came to understand that their thought process was miles ahead of me. They are right.
I also thought about if, I was doing enough to curb corruption in my country. Then came an anti-corruption crusader and I learnt from his mistakes. There is no way to uplift this country.
Best you can do for the country is leave it to its condition and leave.

I completely agree man

Guys luxury cars are everywhere. Spoil brats are everywhere. What is important is the LAW of the country. Just think why we don't see this kind of situation in any other countries like Dubai,London, New York. It is simple in india law can be manipulation based on how deep are your pockets are. Thar guy crushes farmers and gets away. The reason father is a politician from the ruling party. Wrestlers fight for justice against the corrupt politician but nothing happens. There are many examples like this. Make the law harder even for a billionaire and same law for common man. Then only country can progress.

It's sad the techies died, and the situation faced by the family now. However if the kid is indeed a minor, perhaps he should get a fair chance, though not without learning his lesson. There are reasons why there are laws, and while it can be debated whether the laws are correct, a lot of thought has already gone into it. Follow the law, grieve the loss, accept life for what it is - that's what I feel now. Basically don't hang the kid but do whatever it takes to ensure he learns the lesson however tough it may be. The adults I don't even want to start.

I want that kid to die and his father should feel the pain of a loved one departing.

I feel sorry for them. We should take the justice system in our hand. Contact some supery killer to kill that bustard.. That is the only solution because government is not doing anything. What was the wrong from those techies..nothing.. Then why 2 taxpayers lost their live and 1 cult will be free ?
